WAM Driving School is a warm and friendly run driving school, offering good quality driving lessons in Maidstone and the surrounding areas, Chatham and Gillingham.

The driving lessons provided by our fully qualified instructors not only cover all the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the theory and practical tests, they also emphasise an approach to driving to help you become a confident and safe driver.
Bill is an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) having first started his career with BSM before deciding to branch out alone due to his success in working with learner and experienced drivers looking to refresh and update their skills personally and professionally.
Bill is passionate about good quality driving and this reflects in his teaching style; he has built a strong reputation through coaching to a high standard. Being very patient he understands the importance of developing pupil confidence but also adapting his methods when required so the driving sessions are tailored to suit the pupil’s progression. This is mirrored in the high 1st time pass rate his pupils achieve.
Bill strongly believes driving lessons are not just about passing your test, but adopting a systematic driving style for life that incorporates car control, balance and smoothness, focusing on safety.
An advanced driver since the early 90's, Bill has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in driving including working nationally as a Driving Assessor and Driver Trainer within the LGV sector. In his spare time, he is a National Observer with IAM RoadSmart, passing on his experience and knowledge in helping drivers become Advanced Drivers. Bill holds a current IAM RoadSmart Masters certificate passing with 'Distinction'. The highest civilian Advanced Driving standard in the UK!
Bill also holds current RoSPA 'GOLD' and Diamond Elite Car Test certificates.
Enthusiastic about driving, Bill regularly spends the day at Brands Hatch and Snetterton developing his skills further with a better understanding of car control.
